There is a pattern on here for the open weave scarf head wrap. It looks very simply to knit, two triangles. I only have one question: It says " loosely crochet all stitches of anchor yarn".. Is that basically telling me to bind off, or does it mean something different? Thanks for help!

Go to the how to files in pdf. on the home page and click on the one that shows how to bind off.  The first 3 pages explain how to bind off for a firm edge, but if you go to page 4, you will see the instructions for a more loose bind off.  I think that is what the pattern is telling you to do.

Karen, is there anything you don't know!!!! Thank you so much!!!! Smiley
Now, when it tells me to just bind off - I should use the regular way, correct, two loops through one?

That's normally what I do unless it is something that seems it would do better with a little less firm edge; then I use the loose bind off.  Did you order the Knitting Board Basics book?  I haven't received mine yet but maybe it will address that issue. You could probably e-mail Pat or Kim Novak and ask if all the patterns assume the tighter bind off unless stated otherwise or maybe Sue Kreitzer would know.  She is a diamond mine of information.

Karen,
Thanks for the kind words.  You are correct on the loose bind off.  Just remember to work with a soft or loose hand.  Try not to pull the stitches tight.  You can use either bind off depending on the item being made.  On an afghan you can use either one depending on the look you want.  A hat you want the one over one so it has some stretch to it.  Most of the knitting board patterns will tell you the method to use.  Most all items work well with the soft bind off.  Post pictures when you are finished, would love to see it.
