I have finished a baby blanket that came out great but as I was trying to add a border my blanket started to roll inwards.  (I put 3 rows of single crochet then added a scalloped border....single crochet skip 1 then 5 double crochets.)  I even undid it once and tried to crochet looser thinking maybe I was pulling too tight but that didn't work either.  My crochet skills are very basic.  Can anyone offer suggestions?  I love the look of a knitted blanket with a border to finish it off.  Patterns for crochet border would be appreciated also  Wink

Thanks

I'm fairly new on this board but I just finished a blanket also.    I used a form of crocheted border that I found on

http://www.knitting-crochet.com/crochet/afgboredg.html

It worked out just fine.   I used the 28" knitting board with a stockinette stitch and I didn't have any curling at all.    What did you use to knit the blanket???

WHEN DOING CROCHET STS ON CAST ON OR BIND OFF EDGE, DECREASE EVERY 6TH STITCH BY SKIPPING A STITCH. THIS WILL KEEP THE CROCHET FROM FLARING. WHEN DOING STS ON SELVAGE EDGE PICK UP ONLY THE BARS NOT THE KNOTS.
