NEED HELP PLEASE!

I'm doing the pattern "slippers by faith" and I'm have some trouble with a part of the direction!
In the Pattern Direction #5 at the bottom it says to "shuffle all the stitches together so that there are no empty needles". What does that mean and how do I do it??? Thanks so much for any help with this!!!

G'morning knitters,
After posting my question I decided to actually try and do the part I thought I couldn't do (after just reading it only) and it turned out fine.
I really love my knitting board~so now I'm going to continue working on simple patterns and learning to keep both ends of my projects even, which I think is harder than doing any pattern!!!
Happy knitting everyone and Happy Holidays to all!!!

Hi, so happy that you found your answer. I didn't notice that expression in the pattern. I guess it was just her way of saying to shift the stitches over to fill in the empty needles.
I was wondering if you were still having problems with the edge stitches? There is a video on the website about uneven edges. The easiest solution is in the hooking over sequence. After weaving a row, do the hooking from the ends towards the center of the knitting. This means to start hooking at left end and hook over to aprox the center of your knitting. Then go to the opposite end and hook over towards the center until all the needles are hooked on that side of the board. Then do the same process to the other side to complete the row. This works for me. pat

Hi Pat,
Yes, I've watched all the video's several times now, they are soooo helpful!!! I was wondering if that is you in the video's? I have started the hooking on the outside working my way in and have also started using the "8" on the first needle of the new row, is that right? I'm totally hooked on making slippers and I think I'll start a blanket after I decide which one I want. I'm really looking forward to any new slipper patterns, Do you know where I can find more that are patterned for the straight board? I was also wondering if you know about the round one's for socks, are they very difficult? I don't have any of the round one's but I'd be interested if they are not to hard...any input from you and anyone would be great!
Thanks bunches!!!
Happy ThanksGiving Everyone!

Hi Ann, there are some great patterns and looms out for knitting socks. We are just working on some patterns for them and hope to have lots of info coming up this summer. In the meantime, just search 'sock looms' and see all the fun stuff you can find. Some great books of patterns are out there also. I'll post once we have some videos and patterns for you. thanks, Pat
