Hi, just wanted to share an update with everyone on our class at Albemarle Regiomal Jail.
We have 8 ladies at this time and they have completed the second session of 6 week classes. They are such a delight to work with. Each one has completed a set of premie booties and hat-just so adorable. Now they are all working on the baby bunting with hood. I can't believe how far they have all come in just 12 short weeks. But the greatest satisfaction is their pride in what they have done and the excitment they feel just knowing that their creations will be given to a tiny little infant, that they will never know or see.
Next week, we will begin a class for each lady to make something that they can keep or give to family member as a gift. We have been so fortunate to have the local knit shops donate lots of great yarns.
More photos will be coming of the buntings with hat and booties. Now, I hear, the men want their own class, so they also can be knitters.
